Setting Goals for The New Year- One Step at a Time

As 2014 comes to a close many of us decide to set new goals for the next year.  Sometimes I think that we set to high of goals and give up rather easily because they were not achievable.  This year, why not start out with some simple goals and then extend them or set a new goal once you have achieved your first goal.

For a first step, think of a goal that you could do with your spouse, friend or family member.  It could be as simple as streaking.   The amount of days you streak is up to you, you could streak for a week, for a month, for a year (which will make you a member of the Streak Association!

Another idea is to do the 100 Day Challenge by John “The Penguin” Bingham.  You can like John’s fanpage on facebook by searching on John “The Penguin” Bingham.

How about 30 consecutive days of movement?  Any kind of movement other then your normal daily routine?

Want to earn points and cash them in towards real rewards such as athletic gear, jewelry, etc.  Sign up for everymove.org and earn rewards or donate rewards to your favorite charity.  Create challenges with your family members and get them excited about working out as well!

It seems like everyday a new challenge comes out and we will start to see many with the New Year starting tomorrow.  Take a moment and just pick one, again one that you feel that you can truly accomplish! Once you accomplish this you will be on your way and your journey may not end and take you to places that you did not know exist!  Good Luck and would love to hear what you sign up for!  Happy New Year!!
