Virginia Beach Shamrock Half Marathon- March 16th, 2008

Yes, we are crazy!  This was during St. Patrick’s day and we just had to do this race!  But you know, we couldn’t do it in normal fashion, we had to dress up in our crazy costumes! And yes, we did run this race in these costumes!  Luckily it was a great day and a relaxing run around the area ending at the beach! We managed to keep our hats on the entire time!

San Jose Rock “N” Roll Marathon- October 14th, 2007

This was the final marathon of the Rock “N” roll Series.  We have now completed all 5 of the marathons/half marathons of this series and are now considered “Rock Stars”!

Race Day

It was definitely a HOT day with temperatures in the 90’s.  Much of this course was exposed to sun and due to the late start time of 8AM, we were continually seeking hydration stations! There were tons of volunteers and spectators on this race as well as the bands that are part of the rock n roll series!

Memories

  • Enjoyed visiting the wineries before race day
  • Sampling barrel tasting
  • Very hot day
  • Completion of the final marathon and now being “Rock Stars”
